Date : 17-June-2009

During May/June 2009 the residents of Torphins were asked their opinion of the proposed development areas for new housing around the village. This was carried by delivering a questionnare to all houses in the Torphins area. You can view the questionnaire here. Returns were limited to one per household.

The questionnaire comprised of three questions and also gave the opportunity to comment on the development plans. The results of these questions can be seen by clicking on a link below.
  1. How much housing would you like to see in torphins in the next 5+ years
  2. If there is to be new development, where would you prefer this to be?
  3. Are there any areas which you feel should be protected and not be used for development?
Over 20% of the questionnaires delivered were returned. respondents were also asked to include their address - or at least their postcode. These are shown here.
