To view the actual submissions click on the links below: M5 - submited by Learney Estates M69 - submitted by Trustees of James Allen M83 - submitted by Alba Homes M25 - submitted by Mathew W Merchant As can be seen from the submissions, some are quite detailed responses while others are quickly scribbled replies. The submissions are accompanied by more detailed maps to illustrate layout but these do not seem to be available from the Aberdeenshire website. One submission however (M83) does include a detailed map as part of the submission document. Notes on the submissions Public Opinion : None of the applications have consulted Torphins residents as to opinion. Flooding Risk : All of these areas are in contact with the Beltie Burn which is considered a flood risk - only one application (M26) has carried out a flood risk assessment. In fact, other than M26, no assessments have been carried out by the other plans. Agricultural Land : All of the submissions, other than M26, use agricultural land (although M26 will partially use agricultural ground). Small Business : All of the submissions except M83, include small business and retail developments. The M26 development intends to centralise the current car sales outlet (from the East end of the village) and the paint workshop (from the centre of the village) onto one site along with small business units and new housing. This would obviously free up land in the centre of the village (there had previously been planning consent for this central development although this has now lapsed). |
